An annual showcase titled “The New Age Fundraiser” is a fundraiser put on by the New Age Foundation, a night with different creative performances from dancers, musicians, stand-up comedians and theatre makers. The whole show will be recorded on professional cameras giving the artists the experience of performing and reveiwing their own work as well as professional photos and videos taken of them/their sets to keep. The showcase is fully funded for and the foundation will set up anything needed for the performances.
This opportunity does not only extend to on stage experiences, but it also gives opportunities to anyone who wants to experience being a part of the production team and creative team. NAF also extends it's floor to local businesses, and invites them to come and set up stalls at the event.
OUR STORY
The fundraiser was launched in 2021 by Linda-Ray Ndlovu, who at the time had just launched her career as a rap artist. Through her struggles as a new and up-coming artist, actress and creator - she created 'The New Age Fundraiser' named after her debut first album. Through this the fundraiser became the showcase that it is today.
NAF 4: A MINI-FESTIVAL
The New Age fundraiser makes it's return this year on the 18th of May 2024, with it's Mini festival theme.
The evening will consist of a three and a half hour showcase with live performances from musicians, poets, stand-up comedians, Dj's, food, local pop-up stalls like a henna stand, crochet pieces, live art and more!
